Artist’s Statement
I design one of a kind, limited production, and custom jewellery. My main body of work includes fine metals and precious/semi-precious gemstones. I am inspired by the vast world of technology, with its geometric shapes and bold colours. I use these concepts to add hints of organic and soft lines to create a warm and unique balance in my jewellery. Many techniques such as etching, mokume and roller printing are explored to express all of these influences. My jewellery explores different techniques in both design and execution. Playing with new techniques and striving to do them well is a passion which helps set my work apart from many others.

Biography
Andrea denElzen is a goldsmith and designer of beautiful limited edition, one of a kind and custom jewellery. She graduated at the top of her class from the Goldsmith and Silversmith Program at Georgian College, receiving many awards for her unique designs and high quality of work. After three years of fine-tuning her skills under three awarding winning European jewellers and starting her own full time business in Canmore, Alberta, Andrea has moved her studio back to Ontario. She continues to create innovative fine jewellery from her Toronto Studio, Jewel Envy. Andrea participates in both indoor and outdoor craft show, and many exhibitions across the country.
